Ready for a nice warm cup of hot cocoa? Chef Mindy Segal’s place is famous for it. Her signature hot chocolate wouldn’t be perfect though until one also tosses in delicious gooey homemade marshmallows. The drink is a perfect way to battle against those freezing nights in Chicago. Additionally, Mindy’s has an amazing selection of desserts. “The restaurant’s dessert menu changes seasonally, and includes everything from brioche doughnuts with hot fudge and caramel corn, to chocolate ‘souffled’ tart with salted caramel ice cream and house made pretzels” (Fodors). The chef uses only ingredients that are sourced locally and of course fresh.
